The second half of the season will be filled with new players and stars, along with downfalls. So, who will be the stars and downfalls? Here are my second half predictions.
Stars: Howard Cronin, Joe Hubly, Rookies
Howard Cronin has the makings of a superstar. He is finding his HR swing and is second in the league in strikeouts. He will add to his HR total. He is one away from a career high 10 on the season.
Joe Hubly has played in 12 games this season. John Cronin has played in 29. If Joe Hubly had played in 29 games, He would have roughly 30 HR and 60 K's. That would make him the league's second best pitcher and a solid HR hitter. We will see those stats if he plays more in the 2nd half.
There will be rookie debuts coming up in the second half. At least one of them will shine. The father-son duo of Andrew and Pat Cronin look tough to beat. They could easily be the stars of tomorrow.
Slumps: Mae Cronin, Veterans
With Mae moved to Minneapolis, she will see a dip in games played, which means less stats. She is already 0-2 with 3 K's. She will be lucky to get 10 K's and 1 HR.
Down the stretch we will see some of the ol' veterans tire out and start losing it. It could easily be one of the current stars. It could....be you.
