In the 3rd, Rose/Joe/John hit back-to-back-to-back HR.

Sarah had 1 K and some nice hits, including a clutch double. Tate threw a team leading 3 K's. Howard threw 2 K's.

John threw 5 K's and hit 1 HR. Karen hit 1 HR.
Howard threw 1 K and hit 1 HR. Rose pitched 1 K.
This was a rare game in which we saw HR from both Karen and Howard.
Back to back HR from John/Karen in the 3rd.
This was the only game due to poor field conditions and a power outage.

Howard hit his first HR of the season and added 1 K.
Karen pitched 1 K.
This was a good game. Although he only had 2 K's, John pitched wonderfully and played good defense.
Game 2: John vs. Joe Hubly
Joe threw 7 K's, he hit no HR.
John hit a first inning grand slam and threw 4 K's.
John had a huge first inning scoring 7 runs. Joe settled down after the first, but didn't provide any offense.
Game 3: Joe Hubly/Howard Cronin vs. John Cronin/Mae Cronin
Mae fired 3 K's. John threw 4 K's and hit a HR.
Joe threw 5 K's. Howard threw 2 K's.
Lost track of when runs were scored except for a 2 run 5th by Joe/Howard, which broke the tie.
Mae played well and really pitched well
Game 4: Joe Hubly vs. Karen Cronin
Karen hit a grand slam in her 8-run first inning. She also threw 7 K's.
Joe slammed 3 HR and threw 1 K.
A huge win for Karen. Once again, Joe starts off slow and then pitches 4 shutout innings.
Week 2 is in the books and it was rainy. We saw 3 games and 39 strikeouts!
Game 1: Howard Cronin vs. John Cronin
This was a low scoring game. It remained tied at 0-0 until the top of the 5th when Howard got a little wild and John was hitting. John had a three run inning. John shut out Howard in the bottom of the 5th and picked up the the 3-0 win. The Good: John throws a shutout. The Bad: No HR for either team.
Game 2: Joe Cronin vs. John Cronin
Battling an elbow injury, which haunted John all day, John did surprisingly well. Right off the bat in the top of the first, John scored 3 runs. As usual, it takes Joe an inning to warm up, and boy did he warm up. Joe threw 9 K's in 5 innings! Joe added 1 run in the bottom of the first. Joe shutout John in innings 2 and 3. Joe scored 2 runs in the bottom of the second. John shutout Joe the rest of the game and scored the winning runs in the 4th. Final score 5-3. The Good: Joe had 9 K's, John had 8. The Bad: Lack of power, only 1 HR between the two (Joe hit it).
Game 3: Sarah Cronin/John Cronin vs. Joe Cronin/Howard Cronin
Wow! What a game. Accompanied by great guitar music performed by Rose Cronin, this was a good game played at Shed Field at Cronin Yards. Joe provided the fireworks with 4 HR. Howard threw 4 K's and Joe threw 3. Sarah made some great contact and keeps improving. John slammed a HR and fired 3 K's. The game ended 7-2 in favor of Joe/Howard. The Good: 4 HR by Joe. The Bad: Howard doesn't hit a HR in his final game of the day.
Overall: We saw some fine action on a wet field. Next week will be filled with more fun.
